Indigenous Irish Spirituality as Master Key to Ecological Regeneration
In this workshop John-Paul will present his view that the respect held for the natural environment in Indigenous Irish Spirituality and Culture is a key through which we may address the biggest crisis we face as a species in living memory.
Pagan and Early Medieval Christian Ireland evidence a deep appreciation for nature and the land as sacred. Today the Salmon of Wisdom is in danger of extinction. The body of Erin as Goddess of the Island has been stripped of her oak forests. The rivers have been poisoned and the sacred Hill of Allen has been torn in two by a mining company.
The Druids were the Knowers of the Oak. This workshop will explore how we may use the wisdom of our ancestors to give us the knowledge to address these issues and to work with nature to restore our natural sacred landscape.
Individual class presentation recorded at the Irish Pagan School Conference in late December 2019, on Irish Magic & Folklore.

"I have been diving into the online conference, as I couldn't attend live, and I have been just blown away. Totally. Like never before. The presenters and the material have been just extraordinary. But it is so much more. This conference has so opened my eyes to something so so profound... how alive, contemporary and evolving Irish paganism is. I know that this is no surprise to you, but as a solitary, wandering soul in exile in a far away land it has been incredibly exciting. Thank you so much for putting this together and sharing your world with us."

Finally, a place to learn pagan practices that are modern, relevant, and well researched. This school honors the past, lives in the present and preps you for the future. It is not a guess work reconstruction of ancient beliefs based on someone's intuition, but rather a living working practice built on the lore we still have available today.
