  Enroll in Course

Live Teaching Online Course on Preparing for Pagan Priesthood, and How To Become Pagan Clergy - the Definitions, Roles, Functions and Work of a Pagan Priest or Priestess - with a Native Irish Draoí (Druid Priest).

Lora O'Brien has been active in the Pagan Community - in Ireland and internationally - since they first let her in when she turned 18. In that time (many, many years have passed since then!), she has become a Pagan Priest. Many times over, in fact, with ordinations or initiations through a couple of different established Pagan traditions, and legally with her Irish State recognition as Clergy through Pagan Life Rites (Ireland).

But most important through all those years has been her work with her Gods (the Sacerdotal Role and Function of Priesthood), and her Community (the Pastoral Role and Function of Priesthood).

In this class, we will cover topics such as:

  • -- What is a Priest?
  • -- The Work of a Priest
  • -- Responsibilities and Work of a Priest
  • -- How to Become a Pagan Priest?

You will get one hour (minimum, the classes often stretch to two hours!) of Teaching Presentation in your class, then a separate Guided Journey to facilitate direct connection with your Deity – using Lora’s native Irish Otherworld Journeying method. This Class, and the Guided Journey, are suitable for beginners, as well as those with more experience in other traditions. You do not have to be dedicated to or working with an Irish deity (or any God or Goddess!) to take this class.

Our Live Online Class is on SUNDAY 27th OCTOBER, at 9pm (Irish Time).

"I am really pleased to see this book on the market. It is exactly what the pagan community at large has needed for many years.
A Practical Guide to Pagan Priesthood is a bold and fearless look at what modern pagan priesthood is and can (arguably should) be. It offers unflinching guidelines for people who want to live and walk their priesthood with integrity and it is honest about the difficulties that will come with that commitment. It also confronts the unpleasant aspects of this work, both for an individual and within the wider community, drawing attention to ways that we fail to uphold our own standards and places we must do better. Not the usual feel-good text but essential reading for anyone who takes their spirituality seriously and wants to be a pagan priest rather than just play at it.
A must read for anyone considering priesthood."

"I've been a fan of Lora O'Brien's work for a while now: in particular her willingness to share her spiritual and magical growth, her changing experience and journey towards a better understanding of our (Irish) culture and heritage.
Her work is filled with practical advice and shared experience, and while I personally don't aspire to priesthood, her setting out of objectives and her sincere approach to this vocation are both interesting and engaging. A must for those drawn to priesthood in an Irish spiritual context and also of general interest, even if not."
